While this greatly encourages group play and for players to form/join guilds, it ruins the game for the single player who now relies on luck with reguard to weather they will increase or decrease in rank with their next match for as I've witnessed so far, a bad played could bring down a good team but a good player doesn't elevate a bad team. As mentioned with the community, rank seems to be everything to most outspoken players, you advance in rank by winning battles and can lose it from a loss (graded D to A). The community is a bit of an issue as players demonstrate a certain amount of elitism (I'll get to that momentarily) and will continually dog pile a damaged enemy simply to get a kill, even if it means costing their team points towards winning the match. Combat is still the same and is definitely this games saving grace, though they could do to add more maps. Improvements have definitely been made to the match maker, and I no longer find myself continually pulling up youtube on my phone to make the wait more bearable, though there are still occasional technical issues. Combat is still the same and is definitely this games saving grace, though they Update: After playing this for the past few months I felt the need to update my review of it. Also we can play together wich will help especially at the beginning, cause you get some usefull equipement and MS as rewards.Update: After playing this for the past few months I felt the need to update my review of it. If you are interested and want to give it a try then poke me and I can give you some tips and advise. My favorite types that I play are Support type MS like the Gigan, Dom Barrage and Super Gundam but also Generals like the Zaku 2 FS, GM Dominance, Gundam Mk2 and Geara Zulu. I have an A/B rating and completed as third in my group in the last division challenge. I have been playing this shooter for >3 years and I like it. Thist boosts the overall or individual skills. Limited improvements can be installed to enhance skills, behaviour etc. Each MS comes in different point costs (100pts to 700pts), may have the option to choose from different weapons, and has different skill sets. When reaching a certain rank you can customise the MS by choosing different colours and patterns. ![]() ![]() There are daily challenges, special challenges, ranking challenges etc. ![]() GBO2 is fun because they regularly throw free stuff at the community. Hosting servers are in Oceana region so the ping is something to cope with as Europeans. In rare cases you can buy a Mobile Suit as part of a package that can be bought with hard real cash. You can get these either by buying them via ingame currency or via gotcha system. There are >200 Mobile Suits that can be played. As of today the game is about 3,5 years evolved and has grown a lot. It is a third person Mobile Suit Shooter that you can play PvP. Here are some nice impresions of the game, the game mechanichs and matches from a youtuber that I am following: And yes: you can change the colors of the suits.Īnybody interessted in this game? Then send a frind invite to OnaiTekimata and fight together for the Zion!!! So a lot of possibilities for customisation. Hardpoints can be fitted with Upgrades, weapons can be upgraded or new ones installed. Each differe in Level, Skills and Hardpoints and (possible) weapon loadout. You can pilot all the great Suits form the great factions: Zakus, Gelgoogs, RX-78s, Guncannons, and so on. ![]() Fighting in space is a little bit different then fighting on the ground and there are type restrictions, so not all suits can fight on the ground and space. I personaly like the meele that is possible and the space maps are awesome. There are some different game modes to chosse from and the the maps are big enough to do some tactical manuvers. A nice reward system and constantly new maps, Mobile Suits, accessoirs for your pilot and stuff. I am playing it for about two weeks now and I really like it. Since the last patch you can have the written stuff in English (Bittching Betty will still scream in Japanese). But hey, you can get great help on youtube on how to get the account and game up and running. This is a free to play Mecha 3rd person shooter for PS4 and (now comes the hard part) by now only playable with an asian PSN account.Ĭreating one is very easy, but if you are not familar with Japanese then you will have a hard time. As I am a big fan of Gundam I stumbled over MSG: Battle Operation 2
